TEACHING

An experienced teacher of singing, Stuart has previously taught at Merchant Taylors School, Crosby (2012-2015), St. Edward's College, West Derby, choir school of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral (2014-2017), and in the state sector at Ambrose Barlow High School, Netherton, Maghull High School, and Christ the King, Southport. His career teaching adults includes assisting choirs on tour in Liverpool, workshops with groups including Aughton Male Voice Choir, acting as a deputy chorusmaster to the University of York Choir, teaching on Cambridge Early Music Renaissance Summer School. He also coaches actors and singers for audition and performance, with a particular focus on diction, language skills and declamation.

Stuart now maintains a small, affordable private practice in South-east London, with spaces available for new pupils. Though primarily a classical singer, Stuart has taught in a wide range of styles including musical theatre and pop repertoire, with a focus on good technical grounding, expression, and enjoyable singing for all ages.
